Digital Marketing FAQs

Working with Zuti Digital

What type of businesses do you work with?

We have experience with businesses of all sizes, from local shops and start-ups to national and global brands. We have worked with some of the biggest fashion and retail names in the world as well as many industry sectors, such as: software companies, restaurants, real estate, lawyers, insurers, architects, local plumbers, photographers, b2b global companies, dating experts, health clinics and others.

How much do you charge?

We don’t have a “price list”. Every business is unique and has its own particular needs and goals. Our services are specifically tailored around each client and usually after analyzing the scope of work (think of an auto repair guy giving you a price without having looked under the hood – red flag!). We work with full transparency and provide the most flexibility for our clients when they need to move budgets or resources around.

I have some basic coding knowledge, can you provide recommendation and then I implement the fixes on my site?

We can make any adjustments based on our client’s involvement. If you prefer to implement our recommendations yourself after our detailed audits, this is a great way to reduce the project cost.

How often do you communicate with your clients?

We have experience servicing clients for many years, we’ve learned that the strongest partnerships are those where there is constant communication. We are happy to set up as many skype, phone or in-person sessions as needed. If we’re not sleeping, we are definitely available for you.

How do I know what my analyst is working on?

As part of the on-going conversations, we love to prioritize tasks and provide detailed action list on a weekly basis.

SEO & Digital Marketing

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization is a combination of technical fixes and on-site content geared to improve keyword rankings and visibility in the search engine results pages (SERPS). There are many ranking factors in Google’s algorithm which help them decide which page will rank higher than the other. There are also external factors such as quality of backlinks and organic social performance which correlate with better SEO performance.

What’s the difference between Organic and Paid results?

Organic results are those results that rank in Google and other search engines for free, while paid results are sponsored and usually appear at the top of the results pages as ads.

What is PPC & SEM? Is there a difference?

They have different abbreviations, one stands for Pay-Per Click and the other for Search Engine Marketing. Although different names, they are usually used within the same context: paid results or paid media.

Why do paid results rank higher than organic results?

Google and other search engines make money for every click a user makes on the sponsored ads. Branded keywords, i.e. Gucci Handbags will cost less than generic keywords, i.e Handbags.

Should I use paid results to grow my business or audience?

There is no “one size fits all strategy”, every business will have different needs. Paid search exists to capture the demand and when done efficiently, it can help you test new markets. Other channels like paid social and display are more effective for creating brand awareness and acquiring new customers.

What is A/B testing?

A/B testing is a great way to improve conversion on your site. It works by creating two similar versions of the same page which are equally served to new users, the page that performs the best, will be the preferred version. You can test the creative, content or using different colors in your calls to action. Data is essential for making better marketing decisions.

What is online reputation management?

Also known as ORM, is about restoring and improving your reputation or that of the brand you manage when there are negative articles or reviews tied to you or your business. This is achieved by suppressing, countering or whenever possible, eliminating the unwanted material found online. It can be solved with positive content, used to improve credibility and trust and have them rank higher in search results.

How long does SEO take to show positive results?

After making changes on-site, we must wait for Google to recrawl the sites and provide new rankings. This process usually takes between 4-6 weeks. Depending on the digital presence of your competitors, the improvement will be greater or smaller.
